KUNA's Private Cloud Program

Chairman and General Director of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received on Wednesday member of local firm ZAK Solution's Board of Trustees Waleed Al-Roudhan, along with an accompanying delegation. During the meeting, KUNA assumed delivery of a project where ZAK Solution will team up with the Agency French Press (AFP) to initiate a "Private Cloud Computing" program, a virtual environmental project with a year's timeframe, exclusive to KUNA, which will feature the latest software and programs. Moreover, Al-Roudhan was accompanied by one of the company's officials Mustafa Abdulaziz and a number of officials from AFP Blue, an AFP technical subsidiary of innovation and development, including Director General of AFP's Projects Stephane Guerilot and the project's manager Philippe Grosshans. Meanwhile, on the KUNA side, the meeting was attended by KUNA's Deputy Chairman for Administrative, Financial and Communications Affairs Abdulhamid Malik, Deputy Director-General for the Editorial Department and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali as well as Director of Communication and IT Adel Al-Sammak.

After the meeting Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij briefed the Board of Directors on the virtual environment project (Private Cloud).
Al-Duaij said that the project, which was carried out by ZAK Solutions Company at the headquarters of the agency in Kuwait and the emergency site in France, is the first of its kind in the country and the largest in the Agency's history since its establishment. He explained that the project provides an electronic environment for (KUNA) in order to facilitate the use of the latest systems and software in the future. (KUNA).
